Ministries

Growth Group Ministries

  • These groups are a foundational ministry of RCCC.
  • Groups meet at least two times per month, usually in homes.
  • Each meeting includes bible study, prayer, and mutual encouragement.

Men’s Ministry at RC

  • Study Groups:
    • The Thursday group meets at 6:15 AM for an hour!
    • The Saturday group meets on alternating weeks.  This group meets from 7:30 t0 9 AM for you “late risers!”
  • Service Opportunities:
    • Fare For All:  Men take turns helping with food pick up or food sorting/distribution.  Distribution day is usually the third Saturday of the month.
    • Food Shelf:  Volunteers are welcomed for our monthly service day
    • Other service activity occurs on a seasonal basis!
  • Fellowship: 
    • We plan various events throughout the year.  Some will be at church and others will involve outing of one sort or another for golf, fishing, retreats, etc.

Music Ministry

  • Rice Creek Worship Team
    • Rehearses Sunday mornings at 8:30am for participation in Sunday Worship Service.
  • Children’s Worship Singers
    • Pre-school through grade school-age children periodically participate in Sunday Worship Services.

 Women’s Ministries

  • Women’s Bible Study
    • Thursday morning Bible study meets every week at 9:30am.  (Child care provided)
  • Hospitality Teams
    • Coordinates the monthly schedule of volunteers who prepare and serve refreshments on Sunday mornings.
  • Ministries to Families
    • Provides support for families needing temporary assistance in the home.
  • Fellowship
    • Sponsors events that draw women together and around a common interest.
  • Medical Missions
    • Committed to and participates in the efforts of the Evangelical Covenant Church to provide rolled bandages to Congo medical missionaries.
  • Networking
    • Maintains it’s connectedness with the Evangelical Covenant Church and supports it’s efforts with other Covenant churches.

Youth Ministries

  • CHIC (Covenant High in Christ)
    • An international conference for senior high youth occurring every three years within the Evangelical Covenant Church.
  • Summer Bible Camp at Covenant Pines

Children’s Ministries

  • Children’s Worship
    • An abbreviated worship time specially designed for ages 4-7 takes place during the last half of the Sunday morning worship.
  • Sunday School
    • Available for ages 2 through 5.  Age appropriate presentations of God’s Word by adults who love to share the Gospel with children.
  • Kids Club
    • These monthly gatherings during the school year are built around a theme for the month and capture the energy and variety of Vacation Bible School.  These engaging gatherings are for children from kindergarten through 5th grade.
  • Summer Bible School for ages 3 through 5th grade.
  • Summer Bible Camp at Covenant Pines for 2nd graders and up.

 Outreach and Missions

  • We directly support 5 missionary families in 4 different countries.  In addition, a large percentage of our contributions to the Covenant Denomination also supports worldwide mission ventures.
  • Closer to home, we are active in a number of community outreach efforts including our local emergency food shelf, being a member of Love INC, and serving as a distribution site for Fare For All food cooperative.

 Enabling Residences

  • Friendship Place sit he newest Covenant Enabling Residence (CER) which opened in October 2008.  IT is locate next to our church on land we donated to CER of MN.  Several of the residents routinely worship with us and we connect with them in other ways as well.
  • Fulfilling the vision of the Covenant Women Ministries, the first Covenant residence for adults with developmental disabilities opened in Illinois in 1994.  The vision was shared by local Covenant congregations and has grown to include five Covenant Enabling Residences in three states.
